Lakeview Community League
2012
Intended for players of any age and either gender who
want the flexibility of playing their round any time during the week
during the season.
Description:
A two person team handicap league playing 9
holes once a week for the duration of the season. Participants have the
option of playing their rounds anytime during the week, Sunday through
Saturday, when tee times are available.
The 2012 Season:
Note: Changes for the 2012 season - the length of the
season has been changed to make it more comparable to the other two
leagues. The Community League now starts two weeks earlier than in
the past and ends four weeks later.
Date: Weeks of April 1st and April 8th: Mixed League 18 hole
scramble.
Community League members are invited to play in this
preseason 2 person Mixed League 18 hole scramble (with partner or other
league member or substitute).
Date: Weeks of April 29th and May 6th:
-Preseason Community League 2 person 18 hole
scramble, 9 holes each of the two weeks.
The Community League begins the week of May 13th and ends after play the week of
September 9th.
The Season:

Regular season play starts the week of May 13th.

Individual Handicapped Tournament: Weeks of May 27th,
June 3rd, 10th and 17th.

Mid season 2 person scramble: Week of June 24th - 9
holes with partner or other league member or substitute

Team Match Play Tournament: Weeks of July 1st, 8th,
15th and 22nd

Individual Flighted Tournament: Weeks of August 19th,
26th, September 2nd and 9th.
Post Season:
September Challenge (Mixed League
event) - 2 person 27 hole handicapped game over a three week period
starting with the week of September 18th; participants may play anytime
during the week of the particular game.
-Scramble: Week of September 16th
-Alternate Shot: Week of September 23rd
-Best Ball: Week of September 30th

must play in 60% of outings to qualify for prize)

Scoring:
* Individuals play against the field and receive 2
points for each golfer beat, one point for each golfer tied (net score).
* Teams play against the field and receive 2 points for each team beat,
one point for each team tied (net score).
* The sum of each player's net score equals team net score.
* To speed play, individuals should pick up after reaching twice par.
Substitutes, No Shows:
* Substitutes are allowed during regular season play.
Team points earned go to team; individual points earned go to substitute.
* Where there is only one player per team, a ghost substitute will be
used. Ghost substitutes have a handicap of zero and score bogeys on the
first 5 handicap holes. (Suggest you find a sub; sub list will be posted
on bulletin board.)
Fees and Charges: League entry fee: $35 for Summer, per individual
payable 1st day of play.
